Just a test here to evaluate the antennas & ‘receivability” at my little
home station. Test rules: 2 hours 20, 2 hours 40, 1 hour 80. 1 radio. Run
only. Autofill disabled. After each stint, note how it went on-air &
check RBN returns.
On the transmit-side the ‘baby beams’ seemed to get out OK. On the
receive-side? With the cacophony of noise in this tightly-packed
neighborhood—and no autofill, meaning I actually had to copy & log (oh the
horror!) through the buzzes & pops? Hearing was surely another matter.
And, don’t call me Shirley.
So, this one was useful to define reality from speculation here. With a little
fun in the process. Both useful and enjoyable? Can’t beat that. Mr. Kitty
& I hope you all enjoyed the contest, too…
