Lots of excuses: Got a late start, noticed lots of water in the 432 coax making
the band barely usable, went to a big local hamfest Sunday morning.
On the bright side, I made my first 2304 QSO using a PLUTO SDR, a 13 dB power
amp and solid state T/R relay, and a grid dish - 40 miles to K1RZ. The PLUTO and
the amp were located right behind the dish, fed by a 40 foot USB extender. The
next task is to figure out lightning protection for long USB runs that go up
towers!
