Comments:
I have been working up to this event for a while now. Many thanks to Jim George
for his continued support along the way. It makes a difference knowing others
are rooting for you. I like the idea of being on a team. That's a first for me.
Generally, folks would slow down for me though I still find myself quite nervous
about getting the call right.
I goofed on the start time which threw me off personally. I was bummed but then
I recalled in the SCULLEY movie the phrase "best way to tackle a fear of
flying is to remember the statistics and to just keep flying."
So just leaned into the event and kept contesting despite the setback.
I chuckled a bit at one point thinking, whoa the bands are noisy and then I
remembered to ease back on the gain on the RCForb client.
I have a feeling I goofed on at least two maybe there of the exchanges regarding
the serial number. We'll see. I need to submit my Cabrillo file next. See you
next Thursday night.
Onward,
Tom - KB5RF
