I had the urge to get some Top Band practice and the Pre-Stew was just the right
thing.
Conditions were surprisingly very good for DX. But after a month of rain and
storms the noise levels were still quite high here. Copy was very difficult on
weak signals at times and I am sure I may have busted a few calls or exchanges.
All the DX I worked called me. I worked quite a few EU DX and they were all
reasonably loud. Otherwise I would not have heard them through the static
crashes.
I slept after QSOs slowed from 0545Z until 1030Z. I didn't have the patience to
pound away all night. But Top Band practice was what I wanted and I enjoyed the
time I spent at it. Thanks to Tree and the folks who promote this operating
event.
