Comments:
Got the HF9V back up on the roof yesterday but can't reach the 40m coil clamp to
get its resonant frequency down into the low CW band. Got low SWRs on 160, 80,
and 20, good enough for the 2K-FA's ATU and I worked full legal power on 80 and
20. Tests yesterday showed SWR = 2.3 or so on 40, but for a while the amp was
showing about 1.7, good for full power. But for some reason it jumped to the 2.3
to 2.4 I'd expected, and the amp shut down. Fun anyway --- I hadn't turned the
amp on for about a year but it worked perfectly. There's a difference between
100w and 1500w!
