Comments:
Pretty rough going this weekend. 15M didn't offer any Europe, so the multiplier
total is way down from last year. I put in a few more hours than 2017 and ended
up with a lower score despite having a few additional QSOs.
Still, was glad to make a bunch of contacts on 15M again this year. From here on
out things should get better.
Missed Europe on 20M Saturday morning but caught the tail end of an opening on
Sunday morning.
The Acom 1000 arrived Friday evening (picked it up in Calgary on a whirlwind
day-long drive to the radio candy store), so I quickly got it set up and was
away to the races by 0300z. Sure worked well on all bands, and didn't break a
sweat working the rare DX -- picked up VP6D Ducie on 80M and 15M while I was at
it.
Now for Sweepstakes weekends and the ultimate test -- CQWW CW later in November.
