Comments:
Multiop in Sweepstakes is a lot of fun! The challenge of coordinating between a
run and mult station keeps everybody on their toes, even when things slow down.
Thanks to a new lockout box, the PYAS (pointing, yelling, and swearing) system
was retired. We also used the online scoreboard from VA2WA and that was
interesting, along with a mysterious calculation by N1MM+ that gave us 85
multipliers. I think the log checking will fix that...
This was a full-continental operation with Trey from the West Coast and Matt
from the East and me in the middle. Just the right number of operators. Glad
we pretty much dodged the solar bullet - focusing on getting all the northern
mults in the log right away while the getting was good. KP2 the last, as it was
for many. Nice to see the big M-class operations racking up QSO totals.
Maybe I'll do this again next year - as a host or guest. If you haven't done
Sweepstakes as a multiop, give it a try!
