Comments:
Tired of being DX? Thought I'd activate my home call so it doesn't go stale. I
brought K3, KPA500 and KAT500 from KH6 and set it up at the home QTH in San
Jose. The plan was to operate CQWW then leave the station here as a remote.
After 14 hours on-time, the amp blew a gasket (seems to be a problem in the TR
switch circuit). I lost motivation and time but eventually put in a few more
hours as QRP (100W). I'll find out tomorrow if the amp can be fixed before I
leave next Monday. If not, the remote will be 100W instead of 500W.
Glad to see the antennas still work well.
