Comments:
Great low noice high HF band conditions. The 10m band was open to JA and AS for
short afternoon periods. The 15m band was the unexpected surprise with long
late afternoon and evening openings to EU. The 15m morning opening to NA was
less dramatic. The 80m and 160m bands were very noisy with QRN from the recent
low depression that had moved into the Tasman Sea towards New Zealand.
Overall, a great contest with much better conditions than expected for this part
of the solar cycle. The high score is directly associated to good high gain
monoband antennas, with a little operator experience.
