Comments:
Another weekend, another contest, another ice storm. Luckily this weather event
only lasted for a few hours on Saturday afternoon and didn't permanently
sideline any of the antennas or the ac power.
Used all simple wire antennas (an 80 and 40 meter inverted V and a 160 meter
inverted L over an FCP). 100% search and pounce. 300 watts max, much of Saturday
using 80 watts and the tuner due to icing on the antennas. All 20 meter
operation was at 80 watts. I was surprised how many stations I was able to work
on 20 with the inverted V.
