Comments:

First: Thanks to K1JT for making FT8 and the contest mode happen, AA5AU and W0YK
for setting up the contest, Writelog for the logging interface, and thanks to
Bruce for listing contest this on 3830.

Saturday was pretty much a bust. Made less than 20 Q's due to various problems.
Biggest problem was dropouts screwing up decode and after trying a few fixes I
found that the CPU was operating at red-line with WSJT-X, Writelog, Flex
SmartSDR, Wavenode interface, the rules and other windows up. On Sunday, I
switched to my little used Flex Maestro and everything operated just fine.

I had the station completely shut down after 4:30 PM local on Saturday due to
several hours of thunderstorms. That also blew out my 160 M effort.

The best rate I was able to do was about 38, so as it stands now, my RTTY RU
operation will most likely be exclusively be RTTY. With that said, this was fun
and quite the learning experience. I'd say this is the future of digital
contesting. With software development advancements, this is really going to be
fun.

I was astounded at the activity. Word really got out quick.

The Writelog interface with WSJT-X worked perfectly and, even though it was not
supposed to work on DX, it did log all contacts just fine.

I really wish this contest could have included 160. I'm sure we could have
carved out a space in the band even though the big ARRL contest was on at the
same time.
Maybe next time....and I do hope there is a next time.
