Comments:
Congratulations to W2GD, K1ZM, and all the category winners for your great
scores made under less than optimum conditions.
I attempted to fly to PJ2T on Friday, contest start day with a scheduled arrival
about one hour before the contest start. Thanks to American Airlines, I arrived
two hours after the contest started. The late start and my having been up since
3 a.m. made the first night short and messy. I gave up at 0500Z, well before
sunrise.
The second night was far more focused and productive, being on the air in time
for the first signal to come through at 2151Z. I worked hard on night two,
finally finishing at 1130Z. I missed multipliers AK, NT and ONN.
Rates were not high thanks to weak signals and noisy conditions.
