This contest demonstrated that FT8 is a very viable and robust mode for
contesting. I wish I had prepared for it more in advance. Conditions were good
especially on 20m on Saturday. 40m was good at night but a solar wind and an A
index of 10 caused an increase in D and E level absorption which resulted in
poorer conditions than usual. It was a very fun contest for those operators
adept at using RTTY and/or FT8 modes.
