Comments:

K3, 75W both modes. No cluster assistance, entered in Unlimited class because of
the wsjt-x multiple-channel decoder.
I switched back and forth between RTTY and FT8 in order to help test and
document operating procedures for the new N1MM+ FT8 logging features. I spent
more time on the Internet answering questions than I did actually operating.
My experience with the two modes: I would spend almost half an hour struggling
to make 10 contacts in FT8. For a rest I would switch to S&P RTTY and knock
off 10 QSOs in under 15 minutes with little trouble. Overall, I spent roughly
twice as much time on FT8 as on RTTY for the same number of contacts.
Most of the call signs I worked in RTTY were familiar. Half of the call signs I
worked in FT8 were ones I had never worked before in any mode. I did not work
anyone in both modes. It's as if this was two separate parallel contests, one in
RTTY and the other in FT8.
