Comments:
Things started out ok, but then catastrophe struck. While I was turning the big
Yagi the signal suddenly disappeared and the SWR went through the roof. Being
remote, there was nothing I could do. Now I'll have to drive up to the cottage,
climb the tower and fix the broken coax connection … in the -10C weather. I
don't look forward to this, I'll tell you. So I struggled with my old 40m
inverted V up 25 feet in the tree for the rest of my time on 40m. In the end, my
score was only slightly lower than last year.
