QRN was back tonight, 10 over S9. Big system in Caribbean south of Alabama.
CA Ken's report(N6RO and K6MR):
Both Ken's in there. And who won tonight broke down to who timed the Caribbean
QRN better. Ken-MR got his call between static crashes. So got him without a
fill. Ken-RO got 2.5 characters trashed by what was probably a 25 over crash. I
heard what I thought may have been an R and what was clearly an O. How many hams
I know got calls ending in RO that work the CWT's? So I typed N6RO, hit ESM, and
the comeback was correct.
So it was a tie, but Ken-MR should have won due to superior QRN timing.
Extrasensory perception of call signs in QRN works every time.
