Comments:
Had some family issues back in Iowa that required attention both Friday and
Saturday nights; cut into prime-time for Europe. Friday night was very tough to
hear anything out of Europe. Saturday night was a struggle but managed, with the
great assistance of the 250 Hz filter on my K3, to pull out a number of them.
Watching the live streaming of scores on cqcontest.net, it appeared the New
Englanders were working the Europeans like a state QSO party; but its much
colder up there :-)
All in all, not disappointed. I found my active 4-square is sick and needs a
rescue operation, hopefully before the ARRL DX CW contest in mid-February.
