Thank you to Dave for the use of Dave's Station.
Dave's relentless work on Beverages dramatically improved signals from the west
this year. Also two new steerable EU beverages were used and made Saturday's EU
condx bearable. A few times when I couldn't tell if a EU station was calling me,
or perhaps an inaudible Asian station on the same frequency, I would ask for a
repeat of their exchange. They always repeated it, but when signals are so weak
and QRM high, there is often a bit of doubt.
Beverages are pointed NE (2), E, S, SW, W, NW, JA. The K3 is used in Diversity
mode with each beverage available to each RX. I have never used a system this
well-built. I can't express how well it functions. The JA beverage is now known
as the VE7 beverage. There was no noise of any kind in any direction all
weekend.

and I was ahead of last year. Then things slowed down remarkably. Day One was
350 behind last year. But Day two got me to 130 behind last year and a
respectable multiplier number. Worked all 48 states plus KH6 (DX). Missed all
VY's plus VE4. Found WT0DD late Sunday morning for SD.
K3 plus Expert Amp <1500W shunt fed 90' tower for xmit and aforementioned
beverages. 73 Art
