Comments:
Due to illness I made no plans to contest. Had 50 and 144 rotatable on the 30'
tower only. Saturday in snow, put a 4 elmt WA5VJB beam on photographers light
stand at 8' aimed 250 degrees. Got 10 qso's first hour, then it really slowed
down.
For dx, heard a station in FN23 on 432 ending a qso and never heard anything to
the east after. On Sunday, heard and worked K3TLP in EN91 at 263 km on 432.
Conditions were horrible, could not hear the heavy activity on the south side
of Lake Ontario. Went qrt at noon. Challenging and still fun.
FT8 is spoiling contesting. The ARRL needs to do something about it.
Thanks to the sponsor and to all who participated.
73,
Bill VE3CRU
