160m ant is a 17' tall vertical, which includes a 7.5' helical section (3' turns
space 2")
80m ant is Butternut HF9V. Just replaced a bad 80m cap and it changed resonance
on 80m. Too cold outside to redo ant (teens), so had the KAT500 match the 6:1
SWR and away we went.
Merely dabbled in this one. Just got the K3 back together after replacing some
blown diodes which caused erratic power output, including spikes up to 140
watts. My KPA500 was NOT fond of seeing those spikes! Seems to be fixed now.
