Well, condx were quite good. I must go back 3 years to find a contest with this
DXCC worked, and this many "off-continent" and European Qs!

On Saturday morning I was amazed to find 20 M with Europeans over the entire
band giving me 43 Qs. Then they all came back on Sunday morning and I got 38
more! ...But only Central and South America on 15 M with only close in Asia and
Oceania.

DXCC: 73, WAZ: only 23. Off continent Qs: 240, European Qs 81.

160 M: Still no effective antenna on this band!

80 M: In a lucky contest, I can land one JA. On this new inverted L I got NINE
JAs! I also got a very rare WAC thanks to CR3W and CU4DX!

40 M: I got BD4TS and BA4TO. China stations are very hard for me on any band,
and these were the only two I got in this entire contest.

20 M: 5B/RN3QO was a great catch for me. I had logged it as HB/, but the log
check in N1MM+ flagged it for me showing me the probable error. I listened and
N1MM+ was correct! Wow, ...was it really fair for me to correct it??

15 M: Just the usual stuff in Central and So America and a the KH6s.

10 M: I kept checking 10 M all the time and occasionally heard some weak,
unworkable stations. Suddenly PS2T popped up and I got him for my only 10 M Q!

My new laptop does not have a serial port. In my first CW contest I used a USB
to serial converter and the CW was readable but definitely sketchy. I
occasionally had to use my paddle to correct. I bought the WinKeyer and it is
involved to set up, but the instructions are good and it works GREAT!!

So it was great to work some real DX on all the bands again. We had to care for
grand kids on Saturday afternoon and evening, so I missed some op time but life
is full of trade-offs!

73 and see you in less than two weeks! Bill W6QU - W8QZA
