Comments:

Conditions were not spectacular. Ron, WZ1V, who I can normally work on SSB all
of the time, was weak enough that we both had to use CW. A quick check of my
log tells me that I did not work anyone out farther than 235 miles and that was
done on CW.

I only recently have added FT8 to the station. I am operating FT8 at 50 watts
and only worked 2 stations in one hour. Disappointing results. I decoded more
stations than that but...just two log entrys on FT8 and these were stations I
could work on either phone or CW.

Murphy Strikes. At some point after the first hour, I lost power to the
sequencer and everything stopped. For the next 2-1/2 hours, I was punchin'
buttons. A couple of times, on CW, by the time the receiver came on, the
station I was working was already into his report. It gets better, though, the
problem corrected itself in the last 20 minutes of the contest.

Having said all of that...I HAD FUN. I truly enjoy the Sprints. "Thank
you" to everyone who came out to operate.

73, Al - W9KXI
