Operated from Tarantula Hill in Thousand Oaks, CA: a hill within the city which
looks toward higher mountains in all directions at distances about 10 miles away
from my operating site. Lots of signals heard bouncing off mountains instead of
direct path. Heard a couple of NV/AZ stations at the noise level.
Rig: FT817 (~~1.5 watts output) & 10 elements of an M>2 yagi.
