Comments:
I failed to get a 2nd radio setup due to CAT problems and antenna switching
issues when remote.
I tried to work one radio as hard as I could. I heard guys east of me working
15m and 10m QSOs,
but it wasn't happening here on the left coast. I spent too much time on 15m
and 10m trying. 20m finally
came booming in around 22z and I ran when I could. When 20m finally died
(recognized by only hearing
Alaska, Hawaii and JAs) I took my break to let 40m improve for QRP. Still about
2 hours before sunset
here. When I came back, the computers were all messed up, and the remote system
crashed and was down
for awhile. I spent another hour getting fully operational, so with three hours
of off-time, I got to operate
right to the end. 40m was past its prime by then, and 80m is always a challeng
when QRP. Everybody just
CQs "in your face" right after calling them. Some people have very
good ears or low noise levels, thanks!
While it was frustrating during the problems and low band operating, I guess I'm
satisfied with the score,
and glad to participate. See you in WW Digi Aug 31!
