Had a bit of excitement because, for the first time in about 28 years, a Linux
kernel upgrade wedged on my workstation an hour before the start of the
contest.
See if I ever blithely do system upgrades before a contest ever again ...
Apart from the irreversible damage to my cardio-vascular system, in the end I
got things straightened out and only started about 15 minutes late.
