Comments:
At 1750Z I finished repairing my South BOG after cutting it with the lawn mower,
despite installing about 100 lawn staples!. Soil was too dry. So I raised it up
to 1 foot along its 200ft length with 4 wood posts, as I did earlier with my
West BOG...now mini Beverages I guess. Now the riding mower fits underneath.
They worked great on 160m to minimize the wind generator noise, so that was more
fun late in the game. Didn't need the preamp all the time now....as expected.
I started on 15m (nada on 10m) and thought my antenna was broken...lots of
signals but all S2-3. Still got lots of west coast mults early. Conditions
were pretty good overall on 20-40-80 with most answering on first call and lots
of signals for my 100% S and P effort. First time in this summer contest and
glad to give some points to CCO Team 5. Ran out of gas at 0515Z. Used
ContestOnlineScore.com to keep me in the chair with some good races until I got
to 250Qs and got stupid at the key.
