Comments:
Propagation was reasonable, but this contest was an interesting challenge,
trying to find space for QSOs among all the other QSO parties, as I contended
for room around Hawaii, Kansas, YARC and the W/VE Islands QSO Party. Also, the
YO HF DX contest was active, I heard them on 20 meters and 40 meters. Later in
the evening, I was trying to work around the NTS Region nets on 80 meters.
I had my usual problems with working Ohio stations who are just too close for
communications at times on 20 and 40 meters. It seemed like 40 meters went long
fairly early, and my antennas which are built and optimized for DX just don't do
well in contests like this one.
Nevertheless, I had a good time, and worked many of my friends, did manage to
contact 62 counties during the contest. For those I heard and who heard me,
thanks for the QSOs!
