Hello!
Even with storms raging, thunders and lightning, and technical difficulties and
operator lacking i managed to have fun in this contest.
What a delicacy having my OM Gio IT9BLB having a F1 kind of race on
cqcontest.net. It gave me the kick in the butt when the op was lacking
motivation :) Great job! Thanks to all the other that posted scores there it's
allways fun to see how people are doing!
Lost station 2 for more as 3h. Some problem with overheating, ahh well...
something has to be fixed now and then right ? :)
Sorry to see RTTY contest declining and specialy this 24h format was a topping
on the cake for me every year....but evolution will say... Thanks my dear
friends @ SCC CC for all the work on this one and we will see if it will be on
again next year....
So the contest...first 2h were wonderful with 200 qso (w0yk would say not much
:)) 28 and 21 barely open, but we forced something out. Then when going to 20,
it was QRN all over. I'm sorry for all the ? and AGN that i sent, but it was
realy hard till late evening. Every qso was more or less a struggle.
Lost 1,5h with techical problems on prime time 14m....One of the switches seems
to be overheating and causing SWR. WIll look into that...
Very few USA in the evening on 14 the band opened later at 21.00 and stayed on
till late night.
40m was so so, but managed to work even some zone 3 people in the morning. The
night was low rate and really hard on my no sleep policy. 80 and 40 noisy as
hell, again with storm QRN....
No JA run on 21m, bad openings to AS. ZM2B heard barely on 1 band, but no
qso...
28 kicked up last 2h so made a nice multiplier count.
Congrats to 5b4amx for the win, S51TC and S53M for the competition and thank you
all for the qso's, QSY's and trying to read my signal on the screens!
