Comments:
Geomagnetics were fairly quiet during CWT,
but a few hours before we had over 30 GW of
Hemisphere Aurora power. Still we had good
50 MHz Es to 9A/HA/OE and G/GM/PA an hour
before CWT.
Conditions were much poorer than I expected
and I was happy to run high power, though the
tuner did not get to a stable match when coming
back from 7 MHz to 14 MHz again. The cap plate
spacing has to be bigger to avoid flash-over.
Now it is just an old BC tune capacitor (from
an old tube RX)...
