Comments:

Murphy came early and often. After a week battle, I got the propane company to
come out and fill our propane tank. This just in case we lost power during the
contest. After about 2 hours, the utility power just went away and we were in
the dark. The stupid generator did not start. We had to get a new battery
installed by the Generac repair guy....and the generator still would not start
and run. He had to replace a little sensor too. Finally we got that working.
Then we found that all the off,on,off,on from the power company had ruined our
432 EME amplifier, again!! We moved the amp from the tropo station over to the
EME station. Then in the morning, we moved it back. The bad power ruined one
of the UPS backup units. Fortunately, we had a spare for that.

Propagation was just very poor this time. We had a hard time working stations
that were 200miles away. Stations that are normally routine good copy. Monday
in the early AM, we had an hour of moon time, so I was hoping to get some mults
from that. But NO! Guys in EU and SA could not see anything from me. This has
never happened before. One EU op opined that it was the large aurora that was
killing our EME signal. Pretty terrible prop all the way around.

A strange scoring thing. We had exactly the same number of 6M contacts as we
did 2M contacts. We had the same number of grids on 222 as we had on 432. Just
a quirk I guess. This was our best showing on 222. We worked ID and UT on EME
but could not find the big FL 222 EME station. All in all, another really bad
contest.
