Comments:

Had traveled to Hatteras Island the week before the contest to assist with
recovery from hurricane Dorian and hauled the radio and small antennas down.

Was wishing for some decent sporadic E activity but that did not materialize.
As others have said there was a significant lack of CW or SSB activity on any of
my 3 bands.  Thank you to the 2 guys in the Northern Neck of VA who let me break
in on their rag chew on 2 meters!  A preponderance of FT8 signals were evident
but with low power and small antennas getting heard was difficult at best.  I
suspect those I tried to call on FT8 in populated areas were aiming antennas
elsewhere or my signal was covered by stronger nearby signals closer to them
geographically.  In any event, the current dependency on FT8 has sucked a good
deal of the fun out of these events for me.
