Good activity levels. Easily worked grids that were missing in the Sept VHF.
Drove to a local hilltop in western FN22, made one contact on the rooftop loop,
then saw the rain and wind stop temporarily and the daylight diminishing, so I
went outside and set up a pair of loops and used that for the rest of the event.
Had lightning static crashes all afternoon and all through the sprint--almost
had to tear down at 9:25 due to visible lightning, but it was heading away from
me and it dissipated a few minutes later. Once the cold front finished passing
through the area, the signals down the east coast got noticeably stronger and it
was easier to work new grids.
