Comments:
A fine time with old buddies and new guys, and a great team effort. We were down
17 QSOs from last year (4010 this year), and 3K points higher, due to ~140 more
CW Qs. CW totals were 45%.
By the bands:
10m: whoopee, all Qs were NCCC guys. NA6O bagged 3 on Sat, N6RO another 14 on
Sunday. FLEX 6600m/PGXL, 5/5/5 Stack. Qs down by 95.
15m: N6WM did most of the work, with some simultaneous CW/
SSB with NA6O. FLEX 6600m/PGXL+6/6/6stack, and K3/AL1200+TH6
QSOs down by 160.
20m: K3EST did the heavy lifting on SSB, with some relief from NA6O; K3/Alpha86
+5/5/5 stact. K6AW was Ironman on 20CW with K3/ALPHA 76+ C3.
40m: CW by WA6O and NA6O; K3/ACOM2000 + 2L vertical array, built by NA6O.
SSB by WX5S, AJ6CY, N6GD, NA6O; K3/AL1200 + 4/4 stack.
Total 40m total up by 250 Qs!
80M: CW heavy lifting by K6AW, wee hours - N6GD; K3/Alpha 76 + Wire 4SQ
SSB by K3EST, N6GD; K3/ Alpha + 2L Quad, and wee hours at Flex station
160m: N6GD, N6RO; FLEX + WIRE 4SQ Qs down by 55.
Suggestions for the CQP committee.
1. Change the suggested freq. on 80 SSB to 3770-3810, unless you want
participants to tangle with the Pigfarmers and 3840 insanity around the current
suggested 3850. And, since the band segment change, many ops have optimized
their antennas to below 3800.
2. Suggest rally times on 10m, until the band returns.
Tnx to N6DE and committee for putting on another fine running of CQP
