Comments:
This was the first time I participated in a DX contest after taking down most of
my stacks. 20, 15 and 10 are down as well as my 160 phased verticals. That
leaves me with a T10 Log, 40 stack still up, 80 phased wire verticals and a
single 160 I-L. The new smaller tower and antenna collection are under
construction. Even with only the Log for 20 - 10 my time on the air was fun.
Fortunately the bands were in good condition and even made a few Qs on 10.
My best fun time was Sunday morning between 1200 and 1400 UTC. 20 meters just
opened to EU from here and the rates were excellent topping out around 315. I
even had a full hour over 200, with just my Log!
There was one negative, however. The number of signals with KEY CLICKS seems to
have increased. On the positive side, I never had anyone jump on top of me and
call CQ. QRL was used many times with positive outcomes. Great job to all CW
ops.
Thanks for the Qs and the many hours of fun. I am looking forward to seeing the
fantastic scores from the big stations.
73,
Bruce N1LN
