Comments:

Again, the wind was howling so much it was hard to hear the weak guys and just
about everyone was weak. It seemed that we did not have skip to anywhere.
Nobody was real strong; no short skip. Started on 40. By 1918Z had 33 QSOs,
but there were gaps where calling CQ returned nothing. Similarly, in checking
spots, most of the time there was no signal to be found. Went to 20 at 1922Z
because I ran out of stations on 40. The new height of the antenna seemed to be
good, but just no prop. 20 meters was equally bad. Very few spots showed up
and most of the time signals were very weak and I could not find any one there.
Heard a few weak west coast, but could not get through. At one point I had
called 5 stations without making into their log. I was bidirectional, but did
not turn the antenna. By 1945Z I could not find anyone, so went back to 40.
This is quite unusual for me to return to a band. Worked a few, missed a few so
the band change was barely worth it. Whew.

Back to the house to play with grandkids and wait for dinner.
