Comments:

I decided to go SO1R this year just so my 7610 wouldn't accidently get fried. In
the end it turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

There was no QRN here at all and the band was exceptionally quiet ( minus the
QRM ) all weekend. 160 sounded like 20M here ( if you remember 2008 - 2009 you
will know what I mean ).

It was practically no problem working EU, SA and Pac, and they were very loud at
times. On the other hand BC and EWA were ESP/NIL all weekend. But to the North
AK was easy on the first call and to the South I worked more California stations
than ever in this contest - they were also very loud - like locals at times. It
seemed that the North Western part of NA in between AK and CA was a black hole
for some reason. I did finally worked BC but not EWA. I also missed NT and NNY
for the sweep ( NNY? how the heck did that happen?? ).

I actually had no antennas a week ago after an ice storm and wasn't sure I would
be in this one...

Thanks for all the QSOs ( including all the Dupes which were duly logged )

73,
Brian
