Comments:
A new adventure in condo operation. The vertical system from previous years, a
50 foot vertical with minimal ground system, got cleaned out over the summer.
I've been able to put up G5RV in its place, which is an improvement on the
higher bands, but when I tried force feeding that in the ARRL 160 test the stray
RF blasted away the TV DVR box, so I quit with no QSOs.
Saturday morning I got up something close to a quarter wave inverted-L with a
single quarter wave radial. I comes close to loading, but still not a great
antenna. I think perhaps 10% of my QSOs were one call and out. For the other
90%, thanks for hanging in there and congratulations on your weak signal copying
ability.
I hope to have some modest improvements in the antenna in time for the NAQP CW
and CQ 160 tests.
73 & HNY!
