Comments:
Glad to be back after a one year of contest absence. (family health issues)
The topband station is essentially unchanged and was laid out several weeks
before the TBDC.
-TRX: K3/100+KAT500+hb 160m BPF
-Tx-ant: 15m high wired inv L (downto 11m) overlooking a good ground plane.
-Rx-ant: 3 unterminated Beverages (ranging between 100 and 150m)
Good EU,low AS-activity. Good overall propagation throughout the event.
Best score ever in SP.
First US logged: K1LZ at 2105Z, followed by K1WHS, a full hour later!
RUN was not effective at all for DX-contacts pointing to the ever-present
challenge of topband with mediocre antenna setups and low power.
I ream amazed by some stations Rx-capabilities
