Ready to go at start but unexpected visitor 5 minutes before the starting bell
scuttled those plans. First Q around 2:30.
Always good to operate so you are reminded that you have to deal with the S9+10
line noise that covers all of 80M. On the other hand playing with all the
buttons on the radio is always good and I discovered the FTdx5000 Noise Blanker
is surprisingly effective on this particular 60Hz/120Hz noise.
Otherwise pretty typical band conditions. Being on a YCCC team stoked up the
motivation a notch. Really searching for Q's near the end. Still fun to touch
base with the contest community via CW.
