Comments:

Wow, that was challenging! This was my first Winter NAQP as an SO. Felt like an
amped-up version of the summer one (albeit at 100w). Had some great
2BSIQ-fueled rates (including best in any CW contest), but multipliers proved to
be my nemesis.

Started off fruitlessly trying to scrape something from the 10m void. Then
2-keyboard 2BSIQ excitement for two hours. But, by the time I tried an S&P
scan of 15m, everyone was gone, so came up short on mults there. After 15m
became a ghost town, focused on 20m alone for a bit. Not having to worry about a
second radio felt downright relaxing. Then added back S&P'ing on 40m at the
same time.

Later, 80m and 160m proved more challenging. Realizing I was low on mults, and
with rate going down, did a lot more S&P there, but kept returning to the
security blanket of running, perhaps to a fault, as it seemed like "hey,
everyone else is doing it," a faulty perception. I clearly need more
practice at S&P while running at a high run rate.

Had some trouble being heard across the country on 80m--the only New England I
worked on 80 was MA. Perhaps they had noise from weather. Similar issue on
160m. Returned to Top Band twice, but should have gone back again, as it went
longer at the end; I really could have used those mults. Live and learn (I
hope).

Many thanks to Ken N6RO for giving me a shot at this one from his excellent
station.
