Comments:
It is said that challenging the brain as you get older is the best
way to keep it well oiled. After my 9+ hours deciphering dits &
dahs, and with my meager CW skills, I didn't know if my brain was
well oiled or just well done.
But I had fun -- the #1 goal. And I achieved my best score of the
five NAQP CWs I have entered, another goal. Finally, and a 3rd
goal, I connected with my 50th state for CW WAS from Maine. (Now I
just need some QSLs...)
100% S&P obviously, and if the contact was in my history file so
I could just verify the name, it was fairly easy. If not, then it
took many repeats to copy the call/name before I was confident
enough to call them. And if they were over ~35 wpm, I pretty much
didn't bother.
Glad to have added some points to the YCCC Sunspot Worshipers!
