Comments:
I haven't had an inverted L up since 2013 and finally put one up in the
saltwater marsh part of the yard. With 2 125 ft radials in the marsh it worked
very well. Right now the bend is at 30 ft so I still have some work to do to get
it up to its potential 60-70 ft or so and I'll need a couple more radials. I am
super happy with the results with it so far. This year I almost tripled previous
years results (last was 2013). Band conditions were the best I've ever heard
almost sounding like 20 meters. All S&P until the afternoon of the 26th
where I played CQ for a while. I used an Icom ic-7300 for this test and with the
attenuator on and 50hz bandwidth there was no noise at all. I was surprised. It
did suffer from blow-by on nearby stations but I was really surprised how well
it worked. I'm looking forward to more contests on 160 probably with the 7610
though and I really need to practice my super rusty cw. - de N3MK Chincoteague
