Comments:
The Flex VFO knob is starting to flake out and jump around; 3rd one that I've
had that was bad, but they claimed no quality control problem!
Started on 80. It was a bit noisy, so switched to the SAL30 for RX. Not much
pregame activity and it has been full sun for a while, but I can reach both
coasts. 44 QSOs the first 15 minutes, so it was a good start. Band emptied out
after half an hour and we still had good prop. I lingered a bit before the band
change to try to get a few mults, and it cost me. Went to 40 at 1332Z and it
was packed nicely, but I did not dominate and lost quite a few jump balls. Had
good coverage of the whole USA. Left quite a few on the table, so an earlier
band change by about 5 minutes would have helped.
