I hadn't even planned on doing anything in this contest except a token effort.
I generally don't like phone contests...but the competitive bug bit me when I
was a couple hours into it. Since I didn't have anything else to do this
weekend, and was rolling along pretty good, so I decided to see what I could do
with my limited facilities. It was 100% S&P. I didn't call CQ once. I was
hoping to make DXCC, and came close on 20 meters. My operation was pretty
old-fashioned as I didn't use any recorded audio and my voice held out. At the
end, it felt pretty good and glad I gave it a reasonable shot. Go Outlaws!
