IC-7610 + Acom 1000 + 3 ele Steppir
Just under three hours on the air. More time than last year, but bands were
better so it was more fun. 40M ZLs and especially VKs were easy to work with
just 100W and dipole for a while Saturday before local dawn. 20M to the UK was
as good as it has been in a few years -- loud, crisp signals.
Only caught the tail end of the opening over the pole on Saturday morning as we
were out grocery shopping and fighting the madding crowds. What normally takes
1.5 hours was a three-hour ordeal. But was nice to work a so many over the pole
after we returned.
Wonderful to work a few African stations with very big signals in the early
afternoon here in VE7.
