Comments:
Operated this one from the home QTH. Simple set up compared to the contest
location. Basic 60ft vertical section inv-L with about 12 radials. Only 1 rx
antenna that I threw up yesterday which is about 300ft running to NE.
Planned on only a part time effort but the band was very quiet for the most part
as others have commented set aside some local QRN (like the neighbor working in
his wood shop :-) ).
I was surprised at the strength of some of the EU stations, wish I had went down
to the contest site as I could only imagine how loud some of them would have
been with proper rx antennas. Conditions seemed quite good to EU and to western
NA.
Apologies to those who called I could not dig out of the noise, again, very
simple rx set up for this event.
Thanks to all for the Q's, it was a great evening working many familiar calls I
recognize from so many contests!
