Comments:

I ran the OKLA QSO PARTY as part of my park putting out trip of 4 days to OK to
activate many parks, wildlife management areas and historic sites as part of the
WWFF and POTA systems. That was first priority. However, on Saturday and
Sunday during the trip, while sitting mobile in the different parks, I put out
contacts for the OKQP.

Ran NOW, WAS, OSA, PAW, CRE, OKF, OKM, PIT, ATO, BRY nearly all CW but one
excursion to SSB in the second park in OSA. One or two other random contacts.

Worked very few OK contacts. Did work K5CM in 3 counties - at about 100 miles on
20M - he must have been high up. worked one other mobile in 2 counties - at
less than 20 miles. Heard W5CW in half the counties I ran at S3..but he never
heard me - too busy calling CQ.

All 20 and 40M operation. 95% CW.

About 50 dupe contacts since the park chasers worked me in both parks in 2
counties. (they wanted the parks - the heck with the counties for them -
hihi)

Missed HI, NV, ND, WY and most of VE land -

DX worked included OH, OM, I, F, 9A, DL, ON, HA, PA, UT, XE, CU, (many park
chasers)

The trip started Thursday running up from Choctaw up the east side via many
counties up to just east of Nowata by Friday evening. Started the OK QP on
Saturday. Ran a few counties without parks (OKF, CRE, PIT, BRY). I stop to run
these days in contests.

Pileups pretty fierce at times. Wow!

One road closure (highway 60) in Nowata caused a 25mile detour. Probably half
my time was spent driving between the different parks - usually way off the
'optimum route' for zipping through the counties. For example, COPAN WMA is at
the very top of WAS county right near the KS border. 20 miles out of the way.

Score is approximate. My logging program doesn't do dupes so that was hand
done....and submitted to K5CM for his analysis.

Big thanks to Connie for promoting and running this, doing all the paperwork! He
always seems to have a good one with lots of mobiles out.

Missed K5YAA who became SK in the last year. He used to go 'super mobile' with
KW amp, generator trailer/antenna trailer, and really rack up the score. Been
inactive a few years. Norm, W3DYA, has stopped running mobile and he was
missed in the SE corner he usually covers well.

Looks like most of the counties in OK were on the air - saw many logs with most
of OK counties worked but no clean sweeps this year so far. One mobile in SW
corner had truck problems and aborted run early.
