Last year I had multiple work events during this weekend, but obviously this
isn’t a normal year. Based on the “3-hour rule” of the contest, I logged
about 18 hours, but more like 14 true hours if counting breaks as short as 30
minutes.
Negatives were the lack of activity on 15 even when open, and only getting 4
continents this year, missing EU from last year. Heard plenty on 20, but
couldn’t work ‘em.
Otherwise, this went pretty well and was enjoyable. 20 was decent on Saturday
and not as good Sunday. 40 was filled to the gills during the last 2 hours of
the contest. Would have liked to work more DX, but I expect something like this
to be primarily domestic. Being able to work everybody kept things moving
along, with just enough DX to keep it interesting. More than doubled number of
QSOs from last year, in less than twice the BIC time.
Score is very approximate, calculated manually from the fldigi log.
