Never ever heard bonus station on cw. Only caught 3 AR counties while out
mobile in 11 AR counties. Weather good (70F and sun). Band condx not so good
with A=67 and lot of weak QRM all over the band from EU CQ-M contest on 20M with
many having beams turned to east to work them and not jump in the QP. Hard to
find clear freq on 20M CW that worked. Some EU contest stations up to S5 but
not much more. Condx poor to EU.
Stayed overnight in Hope AR to start QP at 1400z. Ran all day then decided to
head home at 5pm or so - arriving home at 8:30 after 3 1/2 hour 82 mph dash
along I-30 to home. Long day but better than risking another day on the
road/motel with current health conditions. Minimal contact other than grabbing
lunch at one convenience store. No breakfast at the motel.
Missed a lot of US states including WY, NV, UT, AK, RI, ND, SD, MT, and all of
Canada except VE3. (had worked half of the missing states on Friday from
parks!).
Total trip was 790 miles with 280 miles driven in QP. (stopped to run all
counties). Ran 11 counties in SW corner.
