Comments:
This was my first time in the CQ WPX CW contest. I decided to do 40 meters only
because I am a bit of a night owl and it allowed me to spend the days with my
wife. Though I heard I missed out on a lot of action on 20 meters and even some
openings on 10.
I am still working on my CW skills, and with my weak QRP signal using my wire on
the balcony I stuck with S&P. I did call CQ a bit Saturday night, looks
like I was picked up by the usual skimmers that hear me but I had no callers
with my weak signal.
As usual there were a number of stations I heard that just could not pull me
out, I am also not 100% sure that I copied all serial numbers correctly, log
checking may tell a very different story on my score.
Overall it was fun, and if the contacts stick I will have added a bunch of
states for my CW WAS and a couple of DXCC Entities. I will be at it again in
some capacity for sure!
